Welcome

My name is Mitchell, am married to my amazing wife and have three beautiful daughters.

I live in Evergreen, Colorado where I like to fly fish (and tie in the winters), ski, skateboard, roast specialty coffee and build legos with my girls.

Over the past 10 years, I have explored a lot professionally to discover what I enjoy, am good at, don’t enjoy and am not so good at.

This journey has involved both inner work and intentional community to uncover my strengths, working styles, personality traits and weaknesses.

My path is certainly not conventional and has consisted of: client services, proposal writing, investment operations, business development, product management, revenue operations, data visualization, financial analysis, forecasting, budget reconstruction, running payroll, social media management, investor relations, recruiting, building an app, standing up a coffee roastery, crafting pitch decks, building websites, reimagining brands and business consulting.

This has spanned various industries, including: private equity, investment management, venture capital, startup incubators, Bible translation, brick-and-mortar, IT services, non-profits, consumer products and AI healthtech.

This breadth of experience has led me to discover that I thrive in diving into different businesses and offering my knowledge to remove roadblocks and uncover solutions.

This is why I started Purple Brook and am so excited to dive into consulting full-time for startups and small-to-mid size companies.

Whether it’s evaluating marketing tactics, refining sales processes or simply brainstorming to reach a breakthrough point, I love dreaming and discerning ideas at the 50,000-foot level and rolling up my sleeves down in the weeds to help implement those ideas.
